Birdseatsbaby - 'The Trouble'

Happy weekend everyone! About now I will be in the German-styled village, Helen, in north Georgia, in a spa, sipping champagne with my sisters! Hopefully I'm succeeding in getting my younger sister drunk and in  taking compromising pictures of her when she's not looking! My family doesn't call me "Mean Christine" for nuthin'!

In my 2012 resolutions I said I was going to start seeking out more dark cabaret and bohemian-gypsy, oompa-oompa bands.  Here is a new one I found that I quite like. It's a catchy tune to house-clean to, and would certainly get my broomsticks moving!

Birdeatsbaby are a dark cabaret four-piece band from Brighton, UK.

'The Trouble' was one of their first hits off the album Here She Comes A Tumblin in 2009.

Some lyrics for 'The Trouble':

Incoherence, (my) disappearance Where did my dignity go?
Daytime nightmares, get your fair share?
No, well I didn’t think so

You slip away into slumber I lay and I crumble and pay for the price on your head and I hate to admit that your conscience is clear when you know what you did and you won’t shed a tear

Shaking, Burning, in-the-grave turning
Burden your demons on me
Seething, writhing, raging, caving
See how I split into three

Lead singer Mishkin=hawt!  Love her hair!

"Like a more hyper-active Nick Cave meets a slightly depressed Freddie Mercury, Birdeatsbaby have been described as many things, including ‘a distinctly unhinged brand of burlesque freak-pop’, and ‘Twin Peaks on snuff.’

Check out their web-site here.

So, how would you rate this song, 1/10?

Has anyone heard this band before
or seen them perform? Any good live?
