Sorry I Don't Have Any Outfit Posts--Would You Like to See What's In My Purse Instead?

I always think of teenage basket case 'Alison' on The Breakfast Club when I see posts where fashion bloggers dump the contents of their purses out for everyone to see. Yet, there is something kinda fascinating about seeing the shit other people carry around in their purses, isn't there? Yea.

I'm in travel mode right now, which means I don't have a whole lot of clothes with me. I travel LIGHT--only two pairs of jeans, one sweater, one summer dress, one winter dress--like really light. I've shown you the winter dress and two pair of jeans before, so I don't have any new outfits to show you until I do some more shopping. After Christmas I was all shopped-out, so I haven't been doing a whole lot. No new outfits to show!

So, to apologize for my complete lack of weekly outfit posts, I dump my purse out for all to see: I give you...

JANUARY'S PURSE CONTENTS:

Here's my purse right now: a lovely studded satchel-style purse with studs and a chain handle. Its been a good travel purse; big enough to slip my laptop in so I can sneakily pass the carry-on luggage weight restrictions, small enough to not be too bulky or too heavy for daily jaunts. Bought it from alternative chain store Dangerfield in Melbourne.

Day of the Dead Wallet, also from Dangerfield,  and my iPhone.

Sunnies for the bright Georgia winter sun, and new super-warm, fleece-lined, paisley-print velvet gloves that I received for Christmas. Gloves by Croft and Barrow.

My pen and make-up bag, bought directly from the lady who made it in Luang Prabang, Laos. Tissues, emory board, Almay face powder, and the super-amazing Revlon lip stain, 'Just Bitten', in 'Beloved'. I'm mad about this lip-stain stuff because it lasts and it comes with one end of chap stick. Perfect for winter.

My pocket camera and handy gorilla tripod. I carry my big camera in a separate camera bag. The cool think about this tripod is that it can be wrapped around a post if you want to get an above-angle of you and your mates, minus the reaching-around-arm view.

Travel essentials: anti-bacterial gel, wet-wipes (I use these cheap make-up removal wipes to double up), a healthy snack, and a wine guide.

And lastly, my diary, pens, and a velvet book bag. I carry my diary everywhere with me when I travel; it is the best way to pass hours when I'm stuck in an airport or need to rest in a cafe for a while.

So, that's all I have for now. Me and my few belongings here. I've picked up a few new things and found some pretty awesome thrifted things, but I don't feel I have enough yet to make a complete outfit worth blogging about. Lots of time to write stuff, though..... :P
